"Do what you love, and don’t let the hate stop you. I want people to listen to my music and be inspired to follow their own dreams. I don’t think my music has a specific demographic. I think anybody could listen and understand my love and passion for this. I try to be positive and... Continue Reading →
Its high time we featured Buggie’s first EP on the site. “Buggin’ Out” has been out a couple weeks now, and after listening through it for probably the seventh time, I can still say its as fun and catchy as it was last week. Buggie gives an energetic journey that combines the sounds of hip hop and R&B. There’s kind of story there, or at least I’m about to create a story from the release.
The people make it special, especially in those times when you get to meet someone who’s genuinely cool af. Osay, rapping out of Atlanta, is an extremely talented newcomer, who’s been studying the game for years. Osay’s sound is reminiscent of old school legend Biggie and 90’s rap, but with a modern vibe. I dare you not to nod your head while listening.
Jonathan Hunter aka Afta is an supremely talented emcee hailing outta Bakersfield, CA, but this man excels in just about every aspect of hip hop music. Afta is a decorated battle rapper, an insanely dope producer, and from what i gather an excellent fisherman. Alright that last one doesn't have anything to do with hip... Continue Reading →
One of our favorite artists here at LyricallyRap, Buggie, dropped his latest video for "Always Fresh" the other night. Let's take a look at this hilarious video of a very serious song. https://youtu.be/5u8AjpOM8lU So the premise of the video is that Buggie is suing Tim Horton's (am i allowed to say that...eh fuck it) for... Up and comer is a term that is thrown out a lot these days. Let's be honest the hip hop game is saturated with artists right now. Some good, some not so good. It's all relative I suppose, but trust me when i tell you that this "up and comer" is one to keep your... Continue Reading →
Canadian rapper Versvs just dropped his newest single and video tonight. We're pretty big fans of his here at Lyrically Rap and for good reason. The dude is a straight emcee. Listen to some of these artists who have lent their talents to some of his tracks: KXNG Crooked, King Los, Futuristic, Gawne, Hi-Rez, and... Continue Reading →
JL released his latest album today (9/25/2020), “The Devil Hates Sundays” and as I write this, I’m listening through it. There’s a lot of music on this album, 20 songs spread out over an hour’s worth of quality hip hop. Usually when I write these articles, I try to choose three songs that are my favorite. It’s almost too hard to do that this time. Like I said, a lot of bangers.
Buggie was approached by Russian rap group Эскимос Crew to spit some bars on their latest album release, "Igloo". The track titled "Crash Test" features Buggie rapping about language barriers. We spoke to him about the inspiration to his verse.
"Underrated" speaks for itself. Durand, Norad, & KXNG Crooked release a song that joins the chorus of other artists speaking for change.
This week I was lucky enough to hear the new release from Versvs & Royce Da 5’9” “Enough for You”. The song is great. It’s a lyrical masterpiece. Of course, Royce’s name on any song is going to carry it’s own weight. Versvs holds his own though. There’s a reason why Crooked, Royce, Futuristic, Eazy Mac, Gawne, just to name a few, have worked with Versvs. He’s really, really good
2020 has been a year full of disappointment, hardships, and chaos. The tragic death of Kobe and his daughter, the George Floyd murder along with many other deaths of black men at the hands of the police, and then you add in a worldwide pandemic, have made this year quite a horrible one. I myself... Continue Reading →
Sometimes you just find some music and can't stop yourself from listening. That's how we feel with X. I know yall gonna enjoy this dude as much as we do! His flow and wordplay are downright incredible and the production on his tracks is insane with some great west coast vibes. Think Dr. Dre circa... Continue Reading →
Last night was great, and this morning is even better. A lot of new releases today, and a lot of it is dope. This time around we have a new single from Vin Jay and The Real Young Swag. https://open.spotify.com/track/0TKM94y1pECM91cmgErfBp?si=FAWzkwagT0GbC7S538uUbg Like everything released this week.
