The young duo, Chach and Zvch dropped a new album today. These two artists are heading the next generation of lyrical rappers. At 20 years old, Chach and Zvch are discussing subjects a lot of adults do not like to face. There is a message in their lyrics, one that we share here at Lyrically Rap, that we're tired of this pop rap crap, and want some good damn music.
Chris Webby and JP On Da Trax take us back in time to the old west with this dope cut! What do you guys think of the latest #webbywednesday release? https://youtu.be/Re6mWHP5aS4 Let us know on our social media @lyricallyrap what yall think!!
Sway Calloway has been a fixture in the hip hop culture for a very long time now. His magnificent body of work was recently recognized as he was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame. Since he teamed up with Eminem and Shade 45 to host "Sway in the Morning" we've seen and heard many, [...]
We've all probably saw those videos with the guy freestyling in the Uber Car. They've been around for a while, but just until recently, I was not aware that Hi-Rez was behind the sick freestyle lyrics. Random freestyling in public has become a trend on Youtube. Its fun, spontanous, and really demostrates some of the skills these lyrical artists have. Check out some of these videos of our favorite Hi-Rez Freestyle Uber Videos.
Another week and a lot of hard decisions to be made on our New Release Favorites. Lyrically Rap's Fav5 is a weekly feature where we share our favorite 5 Lyrical Rap songs released from the last week. This week we feature some bangers from FNX, Jarren Benton, Versvs, Mark Battles & Nas. The songs are listed in no particular order below. We hope you like our picks, and please let us know in the comments what some of your favorite releases were.
Why do we do what we do? That's a question that was recently asked of us by an artist and it got us thinking. Why do we do what we do? Well it turns out that's not really a tough question to answer at all. Let me start by letting yall know a little about [...]
Durand dropped his latest release, "Story Time" on Monday Aug 17th, 2020. Durand is a Lyrical Rapper from Fremont, Ohio. A midwestern neighbor of ours over here in Bloomington, Indiana. We covered Durand in an earlier story at Lyrical Rap, after finding him on Spotify. We love his sound, and were excited about his latest release, "Story Time".
FNX just dropped a new video today for his single "Bottom to da Top" today. I cant stress enough how dope this emcee is. He spits nothing but real, raw, meaningful lyrics. Trust me this dude gon blow up bigger than Europe during WW2. Keep an eye on this cat, for real. https://youtu.be/5mgbDwYRDpQ Make sure [...]
This week I was lucky enough to hear the new release from Versvs & Royce Da 5’9” “Enough for You”. The song is great. It’s a lyrical masterpiece. Of course, Royce’s name on any song is going to carry it’s own weight. Versvs holds his own though. There’s a reason why Crooked, Royce, Futuristic, Eazy Mac, Gawne, just to name a few, have worked with Versvs. He’s really, really good
"So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable."(Christopher Reeves) Rockwell's dream is becoming inevitable. This EP drop marks a momentous occasion for a very talented emerging lyrical artist, and I dare you to find another artist who works as [...]
Remember the days when you would roll somethin up, toss up some dope ass jams on the stereo as loud as it can go, and just hit the highway? I know I do. This is a perfect jam to cruise to. Webby holds it down again with this latest #WebbyWednesday release. Once again the stellar [...]
2020 has been a year full of disappointment, hardships, and chaos. The tragic death of Kobe and his daughter, the George Floyd murder along with many other deaths of black men at the hands of the police, and then you add in a worldwide pandemic, have made this year quite a horrible one. I myself [...]
Remember when hip hop had standards? I mean now it seems like "views" are more highly regarded than the art and the culture of hip hop. I grew up in an era of hip hop where you had to have talent to even be noticed in the game. Hip hop is about way more than [...]
I love getting my mind right and finding new music to vibe out to. In fact, that's most of what I do here at LyricallyRap. Rough gig right? Recently I had the pleasure of coming across an artist named Riddy K and could not stop listening. His voice and delivery are perfect for his flow. [...]
