Eminem as we all know can be listed in most people’s top 10 greatest hip hop artists of all time. His insane lyrical ability has been paired with some of hip hops greatest names past and present. Here are my ten favorite Eminem collaborations!
Jay Z and Eminem “Renegade”
Whew!! Let’s let that one sink in a bit! Jay Z and Eminem absolutley kill it with this one, and this live version is legit! I get where the term renegaded another artist came from after watching this. Em jumps on Jay Z’s track and just steals the show from an otherwise brilliant performance from Jay! Its hard to show up Hov, but Em did in brilliant fashion!
Eminem – “No Love” ft. Lil Wayne
Another two of hip hop’s royal family come together on this one. This song came out on Eminem’s album, Recovery. I cant pick a favorite on this one. Both artists deliver on a huge scale and I gotta say this is may be one of my top 5 songs from both artists.
Eminem, Dr. Dre – Forgot About Dre (Explicit) (Official Music Video) ft. Hittman
Fresh off his successful major label debut, The Slim Shady LP and just before arguably his best album ever, The Marshall Mathers LP, Em appears on Dr. Dre’s legendary album, Chronic 2001. This song helped solidify Eminem as force to be reckoned with on the mic, no matter who is on the song with him. Love this cut!
Eminem – Lucky You ft. Joyner Lucas
Following his less than stellar response to Revival, Em quickly came back with this track from his surprise album, Kamikaze. “Lucky You”, takes one of ,if not the, hottest up and coming rapper Joyner Lucas and creates an amazing track. This is probably my favorite track off of Kamikaze. I mean Em and Joyner Lucas is a no brainer in my book. I cant wait to see if these two collaborate on some more amazing music!
Eminem – Bitch Please II Ft. Dre Xzibit (Live) By EFIT
Arguably four of the hottest artists from the early 2000’s come together on this track off of The Marshall Mathers LP. I mean who was hotter in that time era than these dudes. This live version brings clarity to the on-stage chemistry that these guys had.
Bad Meets Evil · Eminem · Royce Da 5’9”
Bet ya’ll didn’t think this one would make my cut did ya? Em and Royce’s chemistry is undeniable and every time they cross paths on the mic they create gold. This was def my favorite track off of The Slim Shady LP. I bumped this track so hard I wore out the CD player in my car! Ya I’m that old.
Lil Wayne – Drop The World ft. Eminem
Lil Wayne and Eminem are going to go down in rap history as two of the best to ever do it. Everything about this track is pure fire from the dope production to the amazing lyrical ability of both artists! Hip Hop Royalty right here.
Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Eminem – Forever
All four of the artists on this track spit straight fire on this banger. Remember when Kanye wasn’t crazy, ya me to. This song arguably jump started Drake’s career and cemented Weezy as on the of greatest of all time. Having said all that Em blows all them away with his verse. I mean by god it wasn’t even close. You could say Em “Renegaded” 3 of the hottest artists out during that time period.
Logic – Homicide ft. Eminem
With the news of Logic’s retirement coming soon it got me listening to this song again. This is a perfect example of insane lyrical wordplay. Both artists do not phone this one in and deliver two amazing verses. This video is pretty funny too.
Royce da 5’9″ – Caterpillar ft. Eminem, King Green
They say save the best for last right, well…
I mentioned something earlier in this article about the chemistry that Em and Royce share…
This song right here is just hip hop perfection! The production by Symbolyc One and Epikh Pro and the crazy lyrical wordplay is incredible to hear.
