This one hurts. It’s 3 am and all i can think about is writing this letter to you.

Although you will never get to read this, I want to let you know that you have touched so many people. You’re musical career is something all artists should aspire for. You are truly one of the greatest rappers of all time. You could do it all man. You could hype it up and get us to party. You could wow us with your lyricism and flow. And every song you released you let us know a little more about the man behind the X, Earl Simmons. It’s not just music though, you genuinely seemed to be a great human being. I recall hearing a story about how you footed the bill for an entire grocery store when you went shopping. You were in a position to help a lot of people that day, and you did. You inspired countless artists and helped out many many people on your way. You didn’t have to do that, and i assume a lot of people in your position wouldn’t have, but that shows what kind of man you were. You had your demons sure, and they ultimately got the best of you, but that was a very small part of the man you were. You were my favorite rapper man. There will never be another one like ya.
